“Condolences to the families who have lost their dearest ones in the Lampadusa disaster.

“Condolences to the families who have lost their dearest ones in the Lampadusa disaster. Time for urgent action to ensure this never happens again.” - Yemane G.Meskel, Director, Office of the President A great loss, tragic and heart braking. R.I.P
A great loss, tragic and heartbreaking" by Tesfanews (to whom and when he said this is still a mystery.

Aside from that, what did the same person said when asked about the exodus of Eritreans from their beloved country? He replied sarcastically to AFP: ""IT IS NOT A BIG ISSUE", Ato Yemane Ghebremeskel, the Director of The Presidential Office of Isaias Afewerki

And the de-jure (and not more than that) minister of foreign affairs stated:

And the de-jure (and not more than that) minister of foreign affairs Osaman Saleh said:
“… International migration is not without its own problems or perils, as we heard this morning of the tragic and sad incident in Lampedusa (Italy). I wish to extend my condolences to the families of the victims. Many migrants are facing death, violence, horror, abuse, exploitation, and are becoming subjects of organ harvesting by organized criminal elements. Human trafficking ought to be combated in all its manifestations and we need to cooperate and build a common front by fully implementing the United Nations Global Plan of Action on Human Trafficking…”
It is another sad incident and loss but let their Soul Rest in Peace!"

Look on www.shebait.com the official website of the Eritrean Government. No mention of the incident! Visit the government newspapers: no mention of the tragic accident. Does Eritrea has a government? Where is the leader? Why doen't he speak to the nation? Why doesn't he fly to Lampedusa to comfort the survivors and pay respect for the dead? Where is he? He is quick to talk about futile things in an interview that takes 4/5 hours but he is nowhere when around 300 of the Eritrean people persih.

Where is the Eritrean Ambassador in Rome? Why don't they pay a visit to Lampedussa to thank the people in the Eritrea for rescuing the survivors and for doing this extremely difficult work with commitment and love?
